Cherry Cream Latte with Homemade Syrup
Ingredients
Cherry syrup
- a bag of Trader Joe's freeze dried cherries
- 2 tablespoons sugar or to taste
- vanilla paste (Trader Joe's)
- a pinch of salt
- 1 cup water
Cherry latte
- cherry cold foam (cherry syrup, 1.5 ounces heavy cream, 0.5 ounces milk)
- milk (Mooala Koala)
- cherry syrup
- espresso shot
Preparation
Combine all cherry syrup ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat until sugar dissolves and cherries are infused, then let cool.
For the cherry cold foam, mix cherry syrup with heavy cream and milk until frothy, using a whisk or blender.
Brew a shot of espresso.
In a glass, add milk, then cherry syrup to taste, pour in the espresso, and top with the cherry cold foam.
