Cherry Cream Latte with Homemade Syrup

Ingredients

Cherry syrup

  • a bag of Trader Joe's freeze dried cherries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or to taste
  • vanilla paste (Trader Joe's)
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 cup water

Cherry latte

  • cherry cold foam (cherry syrup, 1.5 ounces heavy cream, 0.5 ounces milk)
  • milk (Mooala Koala)
  • cherry syrup
  • espresso shot

Preparation

  1. Combine all cherry syrup ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a simmer over medium heat until sugar dissolves and cherries are infused, then let cool.

  2. For the cherry cold foam, mix cherry syrup with heavy cream and milk until frothy, using a whisk or blender.

  3. Brew a shot of espresso.

  4. In a glass, add milk, then cherry syrup to taste, pour in the espresso, and top with the cherry cold foam.
