Spiced Chickpea and Avocado Toast
Ingredients
- 1 large avocado
- 1 can of chickpeas
- 1/2 tsp olive oil
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp mild chili powder
- Pinch of turmeric
Preparation
Roast the chickpeas at 180°C/360°F for 20 minutes in the olive oil until crunchy.
Remove from oven, shake in the spices, and return to oven for a few more minutes to absorb the flavor.
Mash the avocado with lime, salt, and pepper
Toast the bread slices
Serve the spiced chickpeas on top of the toast with the mashed avocado and a squeeze of lime on the side.
