The Best Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 2 cups non-dairy milk
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp maple or agave syrup
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • A pinch of salt
  • A pinch of crushed peppermint candy cane (optional)
  • Non-dairy whip cream (optional)

Preparation

  1. Warm the milk in a saucepan over medium-low heat and whisk in the cocoa powder, sweetener, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.

  2. Top with non-dairy whipped cream and crushed candy canes.
