Baked Apple Cinnamon Oats

Ingredients

  • * 2 cups rolled oats
  • * 1/2 cup whole meal flour * 2 tsp cinnamon
  • * 1 medium apple
  • * 1/2 cup milk of choice (I used soy)
  • * 1 egg
  • * 3 tbsp honey * 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • * 4 tbsp melted butter
  • Note: vegans can substitute egg for flax seed egg and butter for coconut oil

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree celsius and line a baking tin with baking paper

  2. In a bowl, combine the egg, milk, vanilla, honey and butter

  3. Add the oats, flour and cinnamon and stir until well combined

  4. Cut the apple in to slices, then cut across again to make them smaller

  5. Fold them into the mix

  6. Add the mixture to the prepared tin and bake for 25 mins until the edges look golden

  7. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before cutting into slices

  8. Enjoy!
