Easy Strawberry Mascarpone Tiramisu in Glasses
Ingredients
- 200 g heavy cream
- 250 g mascarpone
- 250 g quark
- 70 g sugar
- Zest of one lemon
- 250 g fresh strawberries
- 1 large orange (yields about 100 ml juice)
- 150 g ladyfingers
Preparation
Whip the heavy cream in a mixing bowl until stiff using a hand mixer, then chill
In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone and quark until smooth
Add sugar and mix until dissolved
Stir in lemon zest, then fold in the whipped cream
Clean the strawberries, remove the green hulls, and cut into small pieces
Mix strawberries with sugar and let stand for 15 minutes
Squeeze the orange and set the juice aside
Crush the ladyfingers coarsely and cover the bottom of four 250 ml dessert glasses
Sprinkle each layer of ladyfingers with a little orange juice
Add about 2 tablespoons of fresh strawberries followed by about 3 tablespoons of the cream mixture
Repeat the layering until all ladyfingers, orange juice, strawberries, and cream are used up
Chill the strawberry tiramisu in the glasses for at least 2 hours before serving
Store in the refrigerator for at least 1 day
Tips
For an extra kick, refine the tiramisu with alcohol by replacing 100 ml orange juice with 50 ml orange juice and 50 ml Cointreau
