Italian Cherry Tiramisu Dessert
Ingredients
- 200 g ladyfingers
- 1 cup cold espresso (or 3 tsp instant coffee dissolved in 6 tbsp water)
- 3 tbsp Amaretto
- 250 g mascarpone
- 200 g quark (20% fat)
- 200 g heavy cream
- 1 packet whipped cream stabilizer
- 70 g sugar
- 1 jar cherries, drained
- cocoa powder, for dusting
Preparation
Line the bottom of a 15x30 cm baking dish with ladyfingers
Mix the cold espresso with Amaretto and drizzle over the ladyfingers
Drain the cherries in a sieve
Spread half of the drained cherries over the ladyfingers
Whip the heavy cream with the whipped cream stabilizer and chill
Beat the mascarpone with the quark until smooth, then mix in the sugar
Gently fold the whipped cream into the quark mixture
Spread one-third of the quark cream over the cherries, then cover with another layer of ladyfingers until the dish is covered
Drizzle the second layer of ladyfingers with espresso
Set aside a few cherries for decoration
Spread the remaining cherries over the ladyfingers
Spread the remaining quark mixture over the cherries, then dust with cocoa powder and decorate with reserved cherries
Chill the tiramisu for at least 3 hours before serving
