Apple Sauce Tiramisu Dessert with Mascarpone Cream

Ingredients

Biscuit layer

  • 200 g ladyfingers
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp Amaretto
  • 2 small cups espresso

Cream

  • 3 medium egg yolks
  • 80 g sugar
  • 500 g mascarpone cheese
  • 200 g heavy cream
  • 1 package whipped cream stabilizer
  • 250 g apple sauce
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Preparation

  1. Place ladyfingers in an 18x25 cm baking dish to cover the bottom completely

  2. Dissolve sugar and Amaretto in espresso and spread half of the mixture over the ladyfingers

  3. Beat egg yolks sugar and vanilla extract for 10 minutes until creamy

  4. Gradually beat mascarpone until creamy then mix in 3 tablespoons of the egg yolk cream and fold in the remaining cream

  5. Whip heavy cream with whipped cream stabilizer and gently fold into the mascarpone mixture

  6. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers

  7. Add apple sauce and spread evenly

  8. Place the remaining ladyfingers on top and soak with the remaining coffee mixture

  9. Generously spread the remaining cream over the top

  10. Chill the tiramisu for at least 5 hours

  11. Dust with cocoa powder and serve cold

Tips

  1. Preparation time is approximately 30 minutes but requires at least 5 hours of chilling time

  2. Serve chilled
