Easy Blueberry Crumble with Streusel Topping

Ingredients

  • 80 g all-purpose flour
  • 40 g ground almonds
  • 70 g brown sugar
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 70 g butter
  • 350 g blueberries
  • Butter for greasing the baking dish

Preparation

  1. Grease an 18x25 cm baking dish with butter

  2. Combine flour, ground almonds, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl

  3. Cut butter into pieces and rub into the dry ingredients until coarse crumbs form

  4. Chill the streusel mixture for 30 minutes

  5. Preheat oven to 180°C conventional or 160°C convection

  6. Wash and dry blueberries and spread in the bottom of the prepared dish

  7. Sprinkle chilled streusel over the blueberries

  8. Bake for about 35 minutes until golden brown

  9. Let cool slightly before serving

Serving suggestions

  1. Serve warm with vanilla sauce or ice cream

  2. This crumble can also be made with raspberries, strawberries, or blackberries
