Healthy Vegan Nutella
Ingredients
- 2 cups dry roasted, unsalted hazelnuts
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil (melted and cooled)
- 2/3 cup cacao or cocoa powder
- 7 dates (soaked)
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 cup almond milk (+more if needed)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
- pinch of salt
Preparation
Add hazelnuts to a high powered blender or food processor (one that’s capable of making nut butter)
At first it will be powdery like almond flour, stop machine to stir and scrape down sides then continue blending and repeat until smooth and creamy like peanut butter (check machines instructions for nut butter for best results
Next add the remaining ingredients and blend/process until smooth and creamy (add more almond milk if needed to thin out)
