Baked Cauliflower Steak with Tahini Marinade

Ingredients

  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 2 tbsp tahini or nut butter of choice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 2-3 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Set the oven to 425°F.

  2. Cut the cauliflower head into 3-4 even slabs.

  3. In a bowl, add all remaining ingredients except the cauliflower and whisk together.

  4. Brush the cauliflower slabs with the mixture on both sides.

  5. Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes.

  6. Switch the oven to high broil and cook for an additional 5-8 minutes or until the edges are golden.

  7. Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  1. Serve with lentils and rice for a complete meal.
