Flavorful Turkey Sloppy Joe Bowls
Ingredients
- 2 carrots
- 1 small onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 jalapeño
- 1 red or orange bell pepper
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1.5 - 2 cups sugar-free pasta sauce
- 3 tbsp coconut aminos
- 1-2 tbsp Frank's RedHot hot sauce
Preparation
Finely dice all veggies or shred in a food processor.
Heat a large pan with olive oil, add all veggies, and sauté with salt and pepper for 5 minutes.
Add ground turkey and cook until browned, about another 5 minutes.
Add tomato sauce, coconut aminos, and hot sauce.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Optional: Top with shredded sharp cheddar.
