Flavorful Turkey Sloppy Joe Bowls

Ingredients

  • 2 carrots
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 jalapeño
  • 1 red or orange bell pepper
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1.5 - 2 cups sugar-free pasta sauce
  • 3 tbsp coconut aminos
  • 1-2 tbsp Frank's RedHot hot sauce

Preparation

  1. Finely dice all veggies or shred in a food processor.

  2. Heat a large pan with olive oil, add all veggies, and sauté with salt and pepper for 5 minutes.

  3. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, about another 5 minutes.

  4. Add tomato sauce, coconut aminos, and hot sauce.

  5. Simmer for 10 minutes.

  6. Optional: Top with shredded sharp cheddar.
