Fried Cauliflower with Garlic Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 medium head cauliflower, cut into small florets
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1 small hot pepper, finely chopped

For frying

  • Corn oil

Preparation

  1. In a deep skillet, add oil to a depth of about 2 inches and heat over medium heat.

  2. Fry the cauliflower florets until golden brown, then transfer to paper towels using a slotted spoon to drain excess oil.

  3. In a deep bowl, combine lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper, cumin, ground coriander, parsley, cilantro, and hot pepper; mix with a wide plastic spoon to make the garlic sauce.

  4. Add the fried cauliflower to the sauce and toss to coat.

  5. Serve in a wide dish with Arabic bread.
