Pav Bhaji Indian Street Food
Ingredients
- 2 medium chopped potatoes
- Some chopped cauliflower
- Some chopped carrot
- 1/2 cup green peas
- Salt to taste
- Water
- Oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 medium finely chopped capsicum
- 1 medium finely chopped onion
- 3-4 finely chopped garlic cloves
- 2 finely chopped green chillies
- 2 teaspoons SLM Pav Bhaji Masala
- 1.5 teaspoons SLM Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 3-4 medium tomato puree
- Some finely chopped coriander leaves
For toasting pav
- Some SLM Pav Bhaji Masala
- Butter
- Some chopped coriander leaves
Preparation
Heat up the pressure cooker to boil the vegetables.
Add 2 medium chopped potatoes.
Add some chopped cauliflower.
Add some chopped carrot.
Add 1/2 cup green peas.
Add salt as per taste.
Add water, cover the lid, and cook up to 3 whistles.
Heat up a pan and add some oil.
Add 1 tablespoon butter.
Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds.
Add 1 medium finely chopped capsicum.
Add 1 medium finely chopped onion.
Add 3-4 finely chopped garlic cloves.
Add 2 finely chopped green chillies.
Add 1 teaspoon SLM Pav Bhaji Masala.
Sauté and cook until the onion turns softer.
Add salt as per taste.
Add 1.5 teaspoons SLM Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder and keep mixing.
Add 3-4 medium tomato puree.
Cook on medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
Mash the boiled vegetables and add them to the pan.
Add 1 teaspoon SLM Pav Bhaji Masala.
Add some water.
Mash all vegetables together.
Cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.
Add some finely chopped coriander leaves.
Toasting the pav
Heat up another pan.
Add some butter.
Add a pinch of SLM Pav Bhaji Masala.
Add some chopped coriander.
Place the Pav on it and leave them for a while to toast.
