Quick and Easy Spiced Lentil Daal
Ingredients
- 2 cups red lentils
- 1 tsp Shan ginger garlic paste
- 4 green chilies
- 4 large tomatoes
- 1 tsp Shan turmeric spice
- 1 tsp Daal spice
- handful of cilantro
- 1/2 tsp Himalayan salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 4 cups water
Preparation
Rinse the lentils before use
Pour the lentils and 4 cups of water in a saucepan on a medium heat, and cook for 10 minutes.
Add the spices: ginger and garlic, turmeric and Shan Daal spice, mix everything together. Then add the tomatoes or any other vegetables and cook for another 2 minutes.
Use immersion blender for 30 seconds to blend the lentils and cook for another 10 minutes.
Stir in the cilantro, salt and pepper, and serve.
