Simple Tomato Sauce Pasta with Garlic and Herbs

Ingredients

  • Olive oil
  • 3 big cloves garlic
  • 2 small chillies
  • 350g cherry tomatoes
  • 2.5 to 3 cups hot pasta water
  • Handful of basil leaves
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Additional olive oil
  • 400g cooked pasta

Preparation

  1. Heat olive oil in a big pan over medium-high heat.

  2. Once hot, add garlic, chillies, and cherry tomatoes.

  3. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

  4. Add 2.5 to 3 cups of hot pasta water.

  5. After another 2 minutes, add basil leaves, salt, pepper, and a few more tablespoons of olive oil.

  6. Cook for another minute.

  7. Add cooked pasta and mix everything together.
