Strawberry Margarita Slushy Drink
Ingredients
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1/2 cup cold hibiscus or peach tea
- 1/4 cup simple syrup
- 1.5 oz triple sec
- 1.5 oz tequila
- 1 cup crushed ice
Simple syrup
- 1.5 cups water
- 0.5 cups sugar
Preparation
Freeze the strawberries the night before or at least four hours previously.
Make the tea and let it cool. Then make the simple syrup by combining the water and sugar in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until the sugar has dissolved, and cool it.
Blend all the ingredients together and garnish with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint.
Tips
This simple syrup is less sweet and pairs well with fresh fruit. Consider trying it with other fruits like cherries.
