Hibiscus and Tamarind Iced Drink

Ingredients

  • 1 cup tamarind
  • 1 cup hibiscus
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 liters water

Preparation

  1. In a deep stainless steel pot, place the tamarind, hibiscus, sugar, and water, and stir well until the sugar dissolves.

  2. Put the pot on medium heat and let it boil gently for 5 minutes.

  3. Leave the mixture in the pot and refrigerate it for several hours or overnight.

  4. Strain the syrup through a fine strainer, add more water to taste, and serve cold with ice cubes.
