Chai Spiced Oatmeal with Almonds & Maple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oats (gluten free if needed)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 1,5 cups water⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 1 tsp cinnamon⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 1 tsp cardamom⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 1 tsp dried ginger powder⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 0,5 tsp ground cloves⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 2 tbsp slivered or chopped almonds⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
  • a splash of coconut milk to serve⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Preparation

  1. Optional toppings: sliced plums and black grapes, quinoa puffs (I used @gogoquinoa ), edible violets and an extra dash of cinnamon.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  2. Cook the oats and water for a few minutes together with the spices until you reach desired consistency.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  3. Pour into your fav bowl, top with almonds and drizzle over the maple syrup.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

  4. Serve with coconut milk and optional other toppings! (Because toppings = ?????!!!)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
