Easy Toffifee Puff Pastry Dessert Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 roll puff pastry (270 g, refrigerated)
  • 12 Toffifee candies
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 teaspoon powdered sugar

Preparation

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper

  2. Remove puff pastry from refrigerator and let stand at room temperature until pliable

  3. Roll out the puff pastry sheet, then cut in half lengthwise and divide into 12 rectangles

  4. Preheat oven to 200°C (conventional)

  5. Separate the egg, reserving the yolk for later

  6. Brush the edges of each rectangle with egg white

  7. Place one Toffifee candy slightly off-center on each rectangle

  8. Fold the short ends over the candy to form a pocket, pressing the edges with a fork to seal

  9. Whisk the reserved egg yolk

  10. Brush the tops of the pastries with the egg yolk

  11. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown

  12. Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes

  13. Dust with powdered sugar before serving

  1. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for at least 2 days
