german franzbrot chen
Ingredients
- 600g flour
- 50g sugar
- 1/2 yeast cube
- 250ml plantmilk
- 90g plantbased butter
- pinch of salt
- for the filling:
- 120g plantbased butter
- 180g sugar
- 4ts cinnamon
- mix milk, yeast and sugar together
- let it sit for a couple minutes
- add flour and salt to a pot
- make a whole in the flour
- add in the milk mix and butter
- let it sit for 2 hours
- place aside
- preheat oven on 160degrees (c) circulating air
- create a rectangular piece of dough
- spread the filling on top
- roll in from the long side to a roll
- now cut into pieces with a knife (about 12 pieces)
- lay down on a baking tray with baking paper
Preparation
Now take a wooden spoon:
Press down the spoon on the edge of the dough rolls so that it almost touches the work surface, the filling will come out of the sides and creates the franzbrötchen
Spread a bit more butter and sugar on top
Bake for about 20 minutes
Take out of the oven
Switch the oven to 200 degrees grill air
Add more butter and sugar on top of the franzbrötchen
Bake 5 more minutes
