Steamed Horlicks Cheese Cake

Ingredients

  • 450g butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 10 large eggs
  • 250g cream cheese
  • 1 small can condensed milk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour or pau flour
  • 2 cups Horlicks
  • A little yellow food coloring

Preparation

  1. Beat butter with sugar until white.

  2. Add eggs and beat until fluffy.

  3. Add cream cheese and beat until smooth, followed by condensed milk.

  4. Add flour and Horlicks alternately and mix well.

  5. Add coloring and mix thoroughly.

  6. Steam until cooked. Cover the pan with aluminum foil or wrapping paper to prevent water from entering. Steam for 2.5 hours using a trio steamer.

Tips

  1. Prefer pau flour over all-purpose flour for a softer texture, but it's optional.
