Sugar-Free Whipped Coffee Drink

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp instant coffee or instant espresso (must be instant)
  • 2 tbsp sugar or sugar-free sweetener such as granulated monk fruit sweetener, powdered stevia or granulated erythritol.
  • 2 tbsp boiling water

For serving

  • plant milk (I used soy)
  • ice cubes

Preparation

  1. Place the coffee and sweetener in a jar or a tall glass. Add boiling water and use a hand mixer or a handheld frother to whip until thick, creamy and frothy (about 2-5 minutes). You can also try using a regular hand whisk but this will take MUCH longer (at least 15 minutes).

  2. To serve cold: Add ice cubes to a large glass and pour plant milk over the ice. Add whipped coffee and enjoy with a spoon or a glass straw.

  3. To serve hot: Pour heated milk into a large glass and add the whipped coffee. Stir until desired consistency.
