Raw Vegan Chocolate Orange Truffles

Ingredients

  • 16 pitted soft dates
  • 4 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp fresh squeezed orange juice
  • orange zest from 1 large washed organic orange

Coating

  • 1 tbsp raw cacao powder

Preparation

  1. In a food processor, blend the dates, 4 tbsp cacao, orange juice and orange zest to a smooth dough.

  2. If you have time, let the dough firm up in the fridge for about 30 minutes.

  3. Sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of cacao on a plate, make sure there’s no lumps.

  4. Using two teaspoons, take a teaspoon’s worth of dough and roughly shape into a truffle and place in the cacao. Carefully roll in the cacao powder.

  5. Keep the truffles in the freezer until you’re ready to devour them.
