Raw Vegan Chocolate Orange Truffles
Ingredients
- 16 pitted soft dates
- 4 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 1 tbsp fresh squeezed orange juice
- orange zest from 1 large washed organic orange
Coating
- 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
Preparation
In a food processor, blend the dates, 4 tbsp cacao, orange juice and orange zest to a smooth dough.
If you have time, let the dough firm up in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
Sprinkle the remaining tablespoon of cacao on a plate, make sure there’s no lumps.
Using two teaspoons, take a teaspoon’s worth of dough and roughly shape into a truffle and place in the cacao. Carefully roll in the cacao powder.
Keep the truffles in the freezer until you’re ready to devour them.
Tips
These truffles are melt-in-your-mouth and very chocolatey.
They are made with only three main ingredients and are easy to make.
