Easy Chocolate Muffin Baking

Ingredients

Dry mixture

  • 250g self-raising flour or whole wheat flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 175g caster sugar

Wet mixture

  • 250 ml milk
  • 90 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Toppings

  • Chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.

  2. Combine the wet and dry ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix until just combined. Do not overmix; the batter may be lumpy.

  3. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full.

  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.

  5. Bake for 20 minutes or until done, adjusting for your oven.
