Fluffy Chocolate Chip Cookie Scones

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (gluten-free 1:1 baking flour can be used)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (coconut sugar can be used)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk (almond milk can be used)
  • 1 egg

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F and prepare a baking sheet by spraying or lining it.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.

  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and baking powder. Then stir in the chocolate chips.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms. The dough may be a little sticky.

  5. Drop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Grease a sheet of parchment paper and press the dough into a circle.

  6. Cut the dough into 8 slices, but do not separate them.

  7. Bake for 13 minutes.

  8. Once baked, top the scones with Miss Jones Bakes frosting and sprinkles (optional).
