Grilled Chocolate Hazelnut Banana Sandwich
Ingredients
- 2 slices crusty wholemeal bread
- 2 heaped tbsp Meridian Cocoa & Hazelnut Butter
- Half a banana, sliced
- 1/2 tsp coconut sugar (optional - omit for sugar-free)
- 20g dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 1 tsp melted vegan butter or coconut oil
Preparation
Spread the cocoa hazelnut butter on one side of each bread slice.
Layer the sliced banana and chopped dark chocolate on one bread slice, and sprinkle with coconut sugar if using.
Top with the second bread slice to form a sandwich.
Brush the outer sides of the sandwich with melted vegan butter or coconut oil.
Grill the sandwich in a pan or on a grill until golden brown and the chocolate is melted, about 2-3 minutes per side.
