Vegetarian Sausage Beans Cheese Pastry

Ingredients

  • Jus-Rol puff pastry
  • One-third of a tin of Sainsbury's baked beans
  • Meat-free sausages
  • 20g Pilgrims Choice mature cheddar cheese
  • Egg (for brushing)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet.

  3. Fill the pastry with a mixture of one-third of a tin of baked beans, sliced meat-free sausages, and 20g cubed mature cheddar cheese.

  4. Top the pastry and brush with beaten egg.

  5. Bake for 12-14 minutes until golden and puffed.

Notes

  1. This recipe is inspired by the Greggs vegan version but is vegetarian. For a vegan alternative, refer to Greggs.

  2. Red onion and radishes can be served as a side garnish if desired.

  3. Use up leftover pastry by freezing it for later use.
