Easy Pizza Dough Recipe

Ingredients

  • 400 gms whole wheat flour
  • 50 gms bombay rawa / fine semolina
  • 380 gms water
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1.5 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 tsp dry oregano
  • 60 ml olive oil
  • bombay rawa / fine semolina

Preparation

  1. Warm the water to 35 degrees c, (till the water warms ur finger) add the yeast and honey. Allow the yeast to activate for about 15 min

  2. Serve the flour onto a work surface, add semolina, salt and make a well

  3. Add the yeast slurry, oregano and knead till the dough comes together

  4. Add 60 ml olive oil and knead to form a smooth dough

  5. Divide the dough into 6 portions

  6. Cover the dough and allow to double in size

  7. Dust some semolina on the work surface

  8. Place a ball of dough and dust with semolina

  9. Roll out into a 12 inch round

  10. Top the pizza with tomato sauce, cheese and toppings of choice

  11. Season with salt and pepper

  12. Bake in a pre heated oven at 275 degrees c on the bottom layer for 15 minutes to enable the base to crisp up and till the edges are brown and the cheese has melted
