Crispy Vegan Potato Tots
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon flax seeds
- 4 tablespoons water
- 600g potatoes
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 cup vegan cheese
- Bread crumbs
- Oil for frying
Preparation
Mix flax seeds with water and set aside.
Wash, peel and cook the potatoes for 20 minutes until soft.
Mash the soft potatoes, add baking powder, turmeric, vegan cheese and the flax seed mixture.
Form the dough into tot shapes.
Cover the pieces in bread crumbs.
Add 1 cup of oil to a small saucepan.
Heat the oil over medium heat until hot
Fry the tots carefully for a few minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
