Homemade Vegan Gluten-Free Churros
Ingredients
- 1 cup gluten-free flour
- 1/2 cup dairy-free Greek yogurt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
- splash of vanilla extract
- coconut oil (for brushing)
Rolling mixture
- coconut sugar
- cinnamon
Toppings
- melted chocolate
- cashew cream frosting (on website)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Mix together all ingredients except for coconut sugar and cinnamon.
Roll the dough into strips and lightly pull a fork across to make indentations.
Place the strips on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
Remove from oven, brush with coconut oil, and roll in the sugar-cinnamon mixture.
Enjoy the churros.
