Easy Homemade Vegan Cheese Recipes
Ingredients
Smoky Cheddar Cheese
- 1/2 cup (55g) cashews
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 tsp Agar powder
- 1 tbsp corn starch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 1/2 cups (375ml) water
Herb Cheese
- 1/2 cup (60g) cashews, soaked
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp corn starch
- 1/2 garlic clove, minced
- 3 tbsp nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 1/2 cup (125ml) water
- 1 1/2 tsp Agar powder
Preparation
Smoky Cheddar Cheese
Blend all the ingredients in a high-power blender until smooth.
Transfer the mixture to a pot and bring it to a boil.
Brush a ramekin with oil and pour in the cheese mixture.
Let it sit in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.
Herb Cheese
In a pot, add Agar powder and half of the water, then bring it to a boil.
In a high-power blender, combine the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
Add the blended mixture to the Agar mixture in the pot and stir until combined.
Brush a ramekin with oil and pour in the cheese mixture.
Let it sit in the fridge for 1 hour before serving.
