Chocolate Gingerbread Oatmeal
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 tbsp ground flax seed
- 1 tbsp dark cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- Pinch cardamom
- Pinch of clove
- 1 tsp blackstrap molasses
- 2 tsp maple syrup
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup unsweetened soy milk
Preparation
Combine all ingredients in a small sauce pan
Stir and allow to come to a simmer
Continue to stir and thicken for about 5 minutes (or to preference) then remove from heat
Pour into bowl and top generously
I went with banana, blackberries, cacao nibs, tahini, and hemp seeds
