Dairy Free Banana Milkshake

Ingredients

  • 150ml Koko ‘Super’ coconut drink
  • 1 banana
  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of peanut butter (optional)

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a jug and whizz with a hand blender until smooth.

  2. Optionally, add 1 teaspoon of peanut butter for a creamier milkshake with extra fats and protein.

Nutritional info

  1. This milkshake provides 255mg calcium, 1.8ug vitamin D, 20ug iodine, 0.9 mg zinc, 150ug vitamin A, and other vitamins and minerals.

  2. Calcium requirements: 1-3 year olds need 350mg/day, 4-6 year olds need 450mg/day, 7-10 year olds need 550mg/day.

  3. This can be a useful snack or dessert for a child with cow's milk protein allergy on a dairy and soya free diet.
