Vegan Twix-Inspired Nice Cream Dessert

Ingredients

Nice cream

  • 3-4 frozen bananas (very ripe)
  • 1/3 teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 1 tablespoon oat milk

Cookie crumble

  • 1 cup oats
  • 5 dates
  • 0.5 tablespoon coconut oil

Chocolate nougat

  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup
  • 2 tablespoons oat milk (or more if too sticky)
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder

Chocolate topping

  • 80 grams melted vegan chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon coconut cream or milk (thick part of a can)

Preparation

  1. Prepare the nice cream by ensuring bananas are not totally frozen and can be chewed, then blend with vanilla powder and oat milk until smooth.

  2. For the cookie crumble, mix oats, dates, and coconut oil together with your hands until well combined.

  3. Make the chocolate nougat by blending peanut butter, agave syrup, oat milk, and cacao powder together with a spoon until uniform.

  4. Create the chocolate topping by melting vegan chocolate and mixing it with coconut cream or milk.

  5. Assemble the dessert by layering or combining the cookie crumble, chocolate nougat, nice cream, and topping as desired to mimic a Twix bar.

Tips

  1. Adjust the oat milk in the chocolate nougat if the mixture is too sticky for easier blending.

  2. Serve immediately for a soft texture or freeze the nice cream for a firmer consistency.
