5-Ingredient Roasted Sesame Almonds
Ingredients
- 2 cups / 275 grams raw almonds
- 1/4 cup / 35 grams sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
- 3 tbsp maple syrup or agave
- 1/2 tsp salt
Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 F or 180 C.
In a small mixing bowl, combine maple syrup, melted coconut oil and salt. Add in the almonds and mix until all combined. Place the nuts on a prepared baking sheet covered with parchment paper and roast the nuts in the oven for 5 minutes.
Remove almonds from the oven and add the sesame seeds. Toss to coat and place the baking sheet back in the oven. Roast for another 7 minutes, or until fragrant. Remove from the oven.
Note that the almonds may look glassy when removed from the oven. Let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
