Honey and Garlic Baked Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1 large salmon fillet
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili
  • 1 tablespoon mustard paste
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Garnish

  • chopped parsley

Preparation

  1. Get a baking tray suitable for the size of the salmon piece.

  2. Place aluminum foil in the tray.

  3. Place a piece of parchment paper over the aluminum foil.

  4. Place the salmon on the parchment paper with the skin side down.

  5. Wrap the aluminum foil and paper to create a raised edge around the fillet to keep the marinade from spilling.

  6. In a bowl, combine the oil, honey, garlic, pepper, cumin, paprika, chili, mustard, salt, lemon zest, and lemon juice; mix well.

  7. Place the marinade mixture over the salmon.

  8. Place it in the fridge for an hour without covering.

  9. Preheat the oven to 220°C, then bake the salmon for 20 minutes or until cooked and the surface is golden brown.

  10. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.
