Baked Salmon with Honey Garlic Marinade

Ingredients

  • 1 large salmon fillet
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili
  • 1 tablespoon mustard paste
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Garnish

  • Chopped parsley

Preparation

  1. Bring an oven tray suitable for the size of the salmon piece

  2. Place aluminum foil in the tray

  3. Place a piece of parchment paper over the aluminum foil

  4. Place the salmon on the parchment paper with the skin side down

  5. Fold the aluminum foil and parchment paper to create a raised edge around the fillet to prevent the marinade from spilling

  6. In a bowl, combine olive oil, honey, crushed garlic, black pepper, cumin, paprika, chili, mustard paste, salt, lemon zest, and lemon juice; mix well

  7. Spread the marinade mixture over the salmon

  8. Place it in the refrigerator for one hour without covering

  9. Preheat the oven to 220°C, then bake the salmon for 20 minutes or until cooked and the surface is nicely browned

  10. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve
