Vegan Mushrooms on Toast
Ingredients
- 2 slices Bread for toast
- 1 tbsp Oil or vegan butter
- 3 cups Mushrooms chopped
- pinch Salt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 5 tbsp Vegan cream cheese divided
- 1-2 tbsp Water or non-dairy milk (for extra creamy)
Preparation
Heat oil or vegan butter in a non-stick pan on medium-high heat.
Add chopped mushrooms and a pinch of salt, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until the mushrooms are cooked.
Add garlic powder, 3 tablespoons of vegan cream cheese, and start with 1 tablespoon of water; mix until creamy consistency.
Toast the bread and spread 1 tablespoon of vegan cream cheese on each piece of toast.
Top the toast with the cooked vegan creamy mushrooms.
Tips
Use store-bought or homemade vegan cream cheese.
Add salt and pepper to taste for seasoning.
Garnish with fresh parsley or chives for extra flavor.
