Choc Chip Coconut Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 large firm banana
  • 1/4 ripe Hass avocado
  • 1/2 cup coconut cream, chilled or 1/2 cup NOYA macadamia butter
  • 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 drop of natural vanilla essence
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup of filtered water

Optional

  • 1 tbsp maple or rice malt syrup for added sweetness
  • desiccated coconut and raw cacao nibs for topping

Preparation

  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blitz on the highest speed, working your way up gradually, for 1 minute.

  2. Pour into 1 or 2 glasses depending on desired serving size.

  3. Top with extra desiccated coconut and cacao nibs.

Notes

  1. This recipe makes 2 servings and takes 5 minutes to prepare.

  2. It can be frozen and removed from the freezer 5 minutes prior to serving for a treat.
