Chocolate Chip Coconut Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 1/4 ripe Hass avocado
  • 1/2 cup canned organic coconut cream, chilled
  • 1 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1 drop of natural vanilla essence
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 3/4 cup of filtered water

Optional

  • 1 tbsp maple or rice malt syrup for added sweetness
  • desiccated coconut and raw cacao nibs for topping

Preparation

  1. If desired, peel and freeze the banana in advance for a thicker consistency.

  2. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender.

  3. Blend on high speed, gradually increasing, for 1 minute.

  4. Pour into one or two glasses depending on serving size.

  5. Top with extra desiccated coconut and cacao nibs if using.
