Easy Brazilian Pool Cake with Nido Frosting
Ingredients
- 2 cups butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
Nido frosting
- 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
- 5 tablespoons powdered milk
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter or margarine
- 1 (200ml) carton heavy cream
Preparation
Beat butter and sugar until creamy
Add eggs and beat for five minutes
Add two cups of flour and beat a little
Add milk and mix well
Add the remaining half cup of flour along with the baking powder and mix
Bake in a preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes
Nido frosting
In a saucepan combine sweetened condensed milk butter and powdered milk
Mix well
Cook over low heat stirring until mixture pulls away from pan bottom
Remove from heat add heavy cream and mix until homogeneous
Let cool then pour over cake
Tips
This frosting is enough for one medium cake for a volcano cake double the ingredients
