Comté Cheese Potato Gratin
Ingredients
- 1 large russet potato
- 3 oz. Comté cheese
- 2 tbsp. heavy cream
- 4 tbsp. whole milk
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp. fresh chives
Preparation
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Thinly slice the peeled potatoes.
Combine the heavy cream, whole milk, garlic powder, and onion powder together. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
In your mini cocotte dish, add several layers alternating between the thinly sliced potatoes, grated Comté cheese, and milk sauce. Finish with a layer of grated cheese on top.
Add the lid to bake covered for 20 minutes, then uncovered for 20 minutes. Broil for 1-2 minutes at the end for a golden crisp top.
Garnish with fresh chives and flaky salt to enjoy.
