Baked Mashed Potatoes with Cheese
Ingredients
- 1300g potatoes
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 100g butter
- 200ml heavy cream
- 110g grated Gouda cheese
Crunchy potatoes
- 4-5 small potatoes (about 500g)
- 40g olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 crushed clove
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 50g grated Parmesan cheese
- 100g grated Gouda cheese
Preparation
Boil the potatoes for the mashed potatoes until soft and tender.
Mash the boiled potatoes and mix in the butter, heavy cream, salt, and grated Gouda cheese until smooth.
For the crunchy potatoes, toss the small potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder or crushed clove, paprika, salt, pepper, grated Parmesan cheese, and grated Gouda cheese.
Preheat the oven to 200°C, place the potatoes in a baking dish, cover with aluminum foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove the aluminum foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the top is browned.
Tips
Bake the potatoes at 200°C covered with aluminum foil for 30 minutes and then remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes or until browned on top.
