Qamar Al-Din Tiramisu
Ingredients
- 30 ladyfinger biscuits
- 1 cup Qamar al-Din syrup
Filling
- 1 cup clotted cream
- 200 grams cream cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Garnish
- dried apricots
- Halabi pistachios
Preparation
Prepare a rectangular mold with high edges and line it with nylon paper for easy removal.
For the filling, in a mixer bowl, place the clotted cream, cheese, sour cream, honey, and vanilla. Attach the whisk attachment and mix on medium speed until homogeneous and slightly thick.
In a deep tray or dish, place the Qamar al-Din syrup.
Take a biscuit piece, dip it in the syrup for a few seconds, then place it on the edge of the mold. Repeat with several pieces until the edge is fully covered. If biscuits are taller, cut them before dipping to match the mold height.
Pour half of the filling mixture into the mold. Spread the remaining cut biscuits over the filling, then spread the rest of the filling.
Place a second layer of syrup-dipped biscuits over the filling to cover completely.
Fold the edges of the nylon paper over the biscuits and filling to cover completely.
Place the mold in the refrigerator for several hours or overnight.
Remove the mold from the refrigerator and remove the nylon paper.
Place the mold on a serving plate and garnish with dried apricots and Halabi pistachios.
