Easy Vegan Tofu Scramble

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces firm tofu
  • 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon non-dairy milk, unsweetened and unflavored

Preparation

  1. Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

  2. Mash the block of tofu right in the pan, with a potato masher or a fork.

  3. You can also crumble it into the pan with your hands.

  4. Cook, stirring frequently, for 3-4 minutes until the water from the tofu is mostly gone.

  5. Now add the nutritional yeast, salt, turmeric and garlic powder.

  6. Cook and stir constantly for about 5 minutes.

  7. Pour the non-dairy milk into the pan, and stir to mix.
