Easy Homemade Thai Rice Noodles
Ingredients
- 1 cup rice flour
- 1/2 cup tapioca starch
- Small bowl of neutral oil
Preparation
Mix together the flours.
Add water and stir to make a thin batter.
Set up your steamer.
Brush the cake tin with oil and wipe dry so only a thin film remains.
Add just enough batter to cover the area of the cake tin.
Add cake tin to steamer and cover for about 30 seconds until done.
Remove from heat, brush top of rice sheet with oil, and remove to an oiled surface.
Repeat until all batter is gone.
Cut the stack into 3cm strips and peel the strands off to another oiled surface.
Notes
You must have a cake tin, a steamer, and a pastry or basting brush.
Makes 2 servings.
