Healthy Dates and Seeds Bar

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mildly roasted Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1/2 cup mildly roasted Sunflower Seeds
  • 10-12 soft seedless Dates
  • 1/2 cup grated Dry Coconut
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence (optional)
  • 200 gm Dark Chocolate

Preparation

  1. Take 10-12 soft seedless dates in a chopper.

  2. Add 1/2 cup grated dry coconut.

  3. Coarsely grind the mixture and set aside.

  4. Mildly roast 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds and 1/2 cup sunflower seeds.

  5. Add the roasted seeds to the chopper.

  6. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla essence if using.

  7. Grind again to achieve a sticky, sand-like texture.

  8. Transfer the mixture to a flat greased tray lined with parchment paper.

  9. Flatten the mixture with a spoon.

  10. Melt 200 grams of dark chocolate and pour it over the flattened mixture.

  11. Top with some seeds.

  12. Refrigerate for half an hour to set.

  13. Cut the bar into pieces.

  14. Enjoy the dates and seeds bar.

Notes

  1. Pumpkin seeds help maintain good function in the liver, bladder, bowel, and joints due to anti-inflammatory abilities.

  2. Pumpkin seeds are high in magnesium, which regulates blood sugar levels and lowers diabetes risk.

  3. Sunflower seeds are high in protein, good for skin, heart, thyroid, and contain vitamin E.
