Lemon Butter Seekh Kebabs
Ingredients
- 1 kg lamb mince
- 1/2 kg chicken mince
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup crispy fried onions
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 Tbsp coarsely ground coriander seeds
- 1 heaped tsp lemon pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh cream
- Salt to taste
- Green chilies to taste
- 1 heaped tsp freshly minced garlic
- Coriander, finely chopped
- Spring onions, finely chopped
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly
Wet your hands lightly and shape the mixture into long seekh kebabs
Layer the kebabs in a wide pot
Chop butter and place it over the kebabs
Cook until done and browned
Just before removing from heat, squeeze fresh lemon juice over the kebabs
Mint sauce
Mix plain yogurt with shop-bought mint sauce, add green chili, garlic, and a little coriander
Tips
Marinate the mince mixture overnight in the refrigerator for better flavor
Serve with fresh roti, garnish with chopped coriander, and accompany with khatchoombar or salad and mint yogurt sauce
