Spicy Italian Spread with Roasted Bell Pepper
Ingredients
- 1 to 2 cups cherry tomatoes
- 1 bell pepper
- 3-4 radishes (handful)
- 1 habanero pepper (can be substituted with Fresno or Jalapeño pepper for milder heat)
- 2 dates
- 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp dried Italian herbs
- 1/2 - 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
- Handful of fresh basil
Preparation
Start by roasting the bell pepper for a few minutes until the edges start to blister.
Pulse the radishes, dates, and peppers in a food processor until they are finely chopped.
Add the roasted bell pepper and all the remaining ingredients to the food processor.
Process the mixture until it reaches a smooth consistency.
Adjust the spice level according to your taste.
Serve the spicy Italian spread with fresh veggies and/or sourdough bread.
