Chocolate Matzo Bark

Ingredients

  • 3-4 pieces plain or salted Matzo
  • 7oz Vegan White Chocolate (for White Chocolate Matcha variation)
  • 2-3 oz Matcha Sauce (for White Chocolate Matcha variation; can be made with Matcha Powder, sugar, and water)
  • 7oz Vegan Milk or Dark Chocolate (for Milk Chocolate variation)
  • 1/3 cup Dried Cranberries (for Milk Chocolate variation)
  • 1/3 cup chopped shelled Pistachios (for Milk Chocolate variation)
  • Optional: flaky salt (for Milk Chocolate variation)

Preparation

  1. Place the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in 15-second intervals until melted, stirring between each interval.

  2. Spread the melted chocolate evenly over one side of the matzo using a spoon or silicone brush and immediately add toppings.

  3. For matcha sauce, drizzle or make a pattern over the white chocolate; for fruit and nuts, add them to the milk or dark chocolate.

  4. Place the coated matzo on a cookie sheet or freezer-safe plate and freeze for 10 minutes to set.

  5. Break the set matzo bark into smaller pieces to serve and store any leftovers in the refrigerator or freezer.

Tips

  1. This is a great way to use up extra matzo during Passover.
